报告摘要:
Cloud computing provides ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources with minimal management effort. As a result, businesses are moving applications and infrastructures to the cloud to realize the huge benefits of cloud computing. But what do all these mean for higher educations? Should higher educations adopt cloud computing? In this presentation, the basic definition, important benefits and risks of cloud computing will be covered first, followed by whether and how higher educations should adopt cloud computing. In the end, live demos of private cloud and Desktop-as-a-Service will be demonstrated.
